If You Keep Skipping Weights… Read This.
Article by – Chrissy Newall – Owner, Coach and Group Fitness Instructor.
You know resistance training matters.
You know it builds strength, boosts metabolism, supports bone health, and helps you feel strong and confident.
But maybe you have not stuck with it.
Maybe you have walked into the weights area and felt unsure what to do.
Maybe you tried Body Pump and found it a bit too fast.
Maybe you started a program and got bored doing the same thing week after week.
That is exactly why Body Pump Heavy is coming to Bay City Gym.
What Makes Body Pump Heavy Different?
Body Pump Heavy is a slower, more strength focused version of traditional Body Pump. It allows you to lift heavier weights with more control and better technique.
It is structured.
It is coached.
It removes the guesswork.
You do not have to plan your session. You just show up, follow the program, and progressively build strength.
And importantly, it does not replace our traditional Body Pump class that many of you love. It complements it. If you enjoy Pump, this will add a new training stimulus to drive adaptation. If Pump felt too quick or overwhelming, this gives you the space to lift properly and confidently.
Why This Matters
Resistance training is not optional. It is essential.
It supports:
- Muscle strength and tone
- Bone density
- Metabolism and fat loss
- Hormonal health
- Long term mobility and independence
Yet consistency is where most people struggle. Not because they lack motivation, but because they lack structure and progression.
Body Pump Heavy gives you both.
When Can You Try It?
Body Pump Heavy launches Tuesday 17th February, and members will have access to the classes for five weeks.
This is a five week pop up class that we have been given the opportunity to trial at no extra cost. That means you can experience the benefits, test the format, and see how it fits into your training week without any additional commitment.
Scheduled classes:
- Tuesday 5.30pm from 17th February
- Wednesday 9.15am
- Monday 6am from 23rd February
There is a time to suit early mornings, evenings, and mid morning training.
Because it is a limited five week pop up, spaces will fill quickly. Do not delay booking. Secure your spot and try it now while you can.
Who Should Try It?
Men and women who:
- Know they need resistance training
- Want to build strength but lack confidence in the weights area
- Have struggled to stay consistent
- Feel stuck in the same program
- Want a change that challenges them in a new way
In short… everyone.
If you have ever thought, “I really should be doing more strength work,” this is your opportunity to work it into your weekly routine properly.
Stronger starts here.
