Retirement can be the perfect time to focus on your health, fitness, and wellbeing, and Noel has certainly embraced the opportunity.
Since joining Bay City Gym in October 2025, Noel’s goal has been simple: maintain his strength, improve his fitness, and feel stronger in everyday life. Through consistent training and the support of his personal trainer Milli, he has achieved exactly that.
One of Noel’s most impressive achievements has been his increase in strength. His leg press has progressed from 24kg when he first joined to an incredible 76kg today. Alongside these strength gains, he has lost around 2kg, built muscle, and continues to increase the weights he is lifting across a range of exercises.
What stands out most about Noel’s journey is the routine and consistency he has developed. Showing up regularly and trusting the process has allowed him to steadily improve month after month.
Noel says he feels happier and more energised after each workout, and the benefits of training are extending far beyond the gym. He is moving better, feeling stronger, and enjoying the confidence that comes from seeing progress.
A big part of his success has been the guidance and encouragement of his trainer Milli, who has supported him every step of the way. Having a structured plan and someone to help keep him accountable has made a significant difference to his results.
Noel also enjoys the welcoming environment at Bay City Gym, the friendly team, and having access to a space where he feels comfortable and supported.
